Michael Girvin

Helps Dogs.

Michael started out in the U.S. Army, in the K-9 Corps. 

 

He had two K-9 partners, one for drug detection and the other for regular patrol work.  After the Army, He trained his family dogs, then went onto family and friends dogs.  He quickly found out there was something special about helping owners keep their dogs in their homes and out of shelters.  Always in the realm of public servant, he spent 20 years as a police officer. Retired in 2004 and started The K-9 Connection.  Since then he has joined the APDT (Association of Professional Dog Trainers).  He has attended many seminars and continually learns the newest techniques in positive reinforcement dog training.  Michael is passionate about conducting training by attaining a mutual trust, love and respect with his clients and their dogs.  He is currently a professional member of the APDT.
